The Accommodation
Sleeps 2 in a double. This new holiday apartment is a ground-floor annexe to the owner's
home. Tastefully finished to a high standard, with its own entrance and a sliding window that leads onto a patio with table, chairs and barbeque. The fitted kitchen is well equipped with a
hob, microwave/convection oven, washing machine, good cupboard space, crockery and utensils.
The cosy dining/sitting area has a dining set,
armchairs, coffee table, Freeview TV, Wi-Fi and a selection of books, guides and maps to help you plan your outings. The bathroom has modern fittings and a good powerful shower over the bath. The bedroom has a double bed with a high-quality memory foam
mattress, side tables, wardrobe and chair.
All linen and towels provided.
A special feature is the delightful, enclosed garden (shared with the owner). Its peace and tranquillity broken only by birdsong, ideal to relax in after a busy day's sightseeing. There is ample room for parking in style on our large private forecourt.
The Area and its Attractions
Located in Canterbury north, we are 1 and a bit miles from Canterbury Cathedral and 4 miles from Whitstable. This area of Kent has remarkably diverse countryside and many unsung delights to discover
and explore. There are frequent buses to the historic city centre, with its plethora of shops, tourists, buskers, museums, river cruises and many other attractions.
The quaint, fashionable
port of Whitstable is just 10 minutes drive away, with its friendly local shops, vibrant harbour, fresh fish market, good sea food restaurants and fine
coastal walks. Slightly further afield
is the cinque-port of Faversham with old sailing barges, ex-gunpowder works, the oldest brewery in England and many other delights. A little further are Broadstairs and the port of Sandwich, host of the 2011 Open Golf Championship.
Central London is 60
miles away via the M2 and 56 minutes by rail.
Stratford International (the Olympics station) is 49 minutes by
rail. Day trips to France are
easy via EuroTunnel (18 miles) or ferry
from Dover (20 miles), so don't forget your passports!

Fine Walking and Cycling Nearby
Situated in a quiet, attractive cul-de-sac next to Blean Wood RSPB Nature Reserve (famous for nightingales). Also near to the historic Crab and Winkle Way (part of National Cycle Network Route 1), Kent College's cricket ground, a pub/restaurant and a Post Office. It is just a 10 minute walk from the attractive campus of the University of Kent, making it an ideal base for university visitors, such as academics or parents of students.

non-smoking and, sorry, no children or pets. Prices from £195 per week. Shorter or longer stays possible, depending on availability. Once a booking has been agreed, we will email invoice you for a deposit (c. 25%) which can be paid online by credit/debit card.
